good day everyone!

for the third session:
 - nagprint si jedd ng worksheets for the Grade 2 - 3 kids namin.  naincorporate doon ang addition and the alphabet…
 - nagprint din si jedd ng pictures with their corresponding names for the Grade 1 kids, and we recycled the manila paper kung san ididikit ang mga pictures…
 - hinati namin ang group..si ate radz and kuya jedd para sa mga Grade 2- 3 kids and ako naman sa mga Grade 1 (mas behave naman sila kesa sa mga Grade 2 -3 kaya chox lang ala akong kasama…)
 - i arrived late. pero pagdating ko, mga 15min past 9am na ata yun, sila jedd pa lang and kuya edward and the aldevinco and nadatnan ko..nag-aayos si kuya edward ng masilungan kasi as usual mainit na naman maxao…as in!!!!
 - sinundo namin ni jedd ang jacinto kids after ilang minutes na nasettle ni kuya edward yung improvised atip…effective siya, nice ang pagkaset-up pero not enough for everyone…
 - nagstart with a prayer (’angel of God’ by bem2 [KK])
 - si ate muchy! nandito na! natuwa ang mga kids at medyo pinagkakaguluhan siya..hehehe
 - nagstart ang by-level session, and nakakatuwa, dahil sa sobrang init sa place ng mga Grade 1 kids, lumipat kami sa kabilang kalye (addu sidewalk, na may maliit na gate)…doon namin sinabit ang manila sa maliit na gate, so the kids can post the pix and the names, at dahil nagsastart pa lang sila sa alphabet, may konting writing na involve..
 - amazing ang puwesto namin kasi hindi nadidistract ung mga kids, alang nanggulong mga ate and kuya plus ala ring nanggugulong outsiders kasi nakatalikod sila sa mga passersby, tahimik sila and i think mas matututo kung ganun ang scenario (imagine…)
 - regarding sa mga exercises ng mga Grade 2 and 3 kids, I’ve heard mahirap daw..so, ‘guro, isimplify na lang ung mga numbers and tell them they can solve vertically (kuya jedd? (,"))
 - kulang ang oras, sobra…ilang pix pa lang nadidikit namin and ilang letters pa lang yun…hindi naman diba pwede kung mabilisan? ayt?
 - masarap ang pagkain..mejo makalat lang ung kids habang kumakain
 - matitigas pa rin ang ulo kaya natrigger ang pasensya ni ate kakai..
 - bnigyan ko pala ng assignment ang kids..i let them write letter Aa - Mm and we’ll continue the picture and letter writing session next week..hopefully maremember nila ang assignment..
 - circle time: forever ang ‘umaawit ang puso ko’…

Early Elementary SY 2007 - 2008
First Session July 08, 2007:

generally, magulo ang first meeting.

we started na kokonti pa lang ang mga KVs kasi sayang ang oras if we wait and kasi may hinahabol pa kasi kaming oras nun (at 11am) for our NSTP orientation (umalis kami sa venue, actually for 2 - 2.5 hours).  Sayang nga lang di nakarating yung ibang mga KVs for the KKs to know the new ones.

Though mas behave naman ang mga kids that time kasi less ang away2 between them, magulo lang siya in a sense na hindi organize ang mga naging activities namin.

Dumagdag din ang init, sobrang init, as in NAPAKAmainit sa Freedom Park, plus alang mga banig ang mga KKs, so we have sit under the mini-tree para magpasilong.  promise, napaka - inconvenient ng Freedom Park for tutorials pag ganoong oras

admittedly, hindi kami nagkaroon ng matinong pagpaplano for that day’s activity kasi the three of us haven’t met together plus  we only thought of having a review or recap of last year’s last lessons. 

so, ang nagawa namin that day were the folowing:
 - we had a game, the boat is sinking.  the kids were able to "count themselves" basing sa kung anong sabihin namin na number… those who were "left behind", yung mga hindi nakasali sa "valid" na grupo, were tasked to answer our questions like ’sa anong letra nagsisimula ang salitang…’ or ‘magbigay ng 3 salita na nagsisimula sa letrang…’ or ‘4 + 3 equals?’..  So, we were able to integrate our last lessons last year - the alphabet and addition

 - after nun, since medyo malaki pa ang natitirang oras, habang namimitas ang mga kids namin ng mga santan doon (evil noh? sorry, we can’t stop them kasi nag-aalburoto na sila sa init and naghahanap na sila ng food, na di nakarating on time, hehe) at guamwa ng bracelet, necklace, singsing at korona from pinagkabit na santan , pinabilang na lang namin sila kung ilang santan ang napagkabit nila sa isang bracelet, necklace and the like - para naman still maapply pa rin ang naging lessons nila dati.

 - the new ate’s talked to them and bonded with them, mas kinilala nila ang isa’t isa, habang they were doing there santan business…

yun…then, nagcircle time ,na ang daming songs, and uwian..

though, mahirap iexplain sa kanila kung bakit ala silang materials pansulat or something to use, and especially, yung hinihintay-hintay nila na food, and kung bakit ala yung mga hinahanap nila na mga KVs, still, naging mabati naman yung mga kids, and they tried to understand naman (feel ko…)

wait! nabigla ako kasi super dumami talaga yung mga kids namin ni kuya jedd and ate radz…

lahat ata ng mga nag grade1 na, yung mga nanggaling sa preschool (most of them if not all) ang nasa amin na…

whew! first time! ang init…

Early Elementary SY 2007 - 2008
Second Session July 15, 2007:

Hi!

Second session was very tiring.  absent si kuya jedd, so kami lang ni ate radz ang maging ates para sa around 8+ kids (OMG! i forgot to list them for their attendance).  parang ala na atang preschools. may isa that time pero he (daryl) was not actually a part of Kalsada, pero pinasali siya namin kasi gusto niya sumali.  late yung ibang kids kasi, shushal sila, naligo pa sila before pumunta sa session, which is tama naman. i’m happy for them.

fortunately, may mga gamit na ang mga kids , courtesy of kuya edward.  may panggamit na sila pansulat. kulang na kulang ang mga notebooks dulot nga ng population explosion ng mga kids sa EE.

at first, we told them to have a partner para share sila sa notebook, pero gumulo ang situation kasi may mga ayaw makipagshare. so ang ginawa namin, we tore around 4 pages from the notebook para isa isa silang may mga papel to write upon. 

since last session may review na walang pang writing, ngayon naman we had a review na may involving pen (colored pens kasi ala pa kaming pencils that time) and paper.

 - una nagspelling kami - yung mga three-lettered words lang - yung gma very easy to spell.
 - kaya lang, nahihirapn pa yung mga bago lang nagtransition from preschool to EE like marlo, jomar, BJ, richard, and john. so, iniba ko sila from the group and taught them first the sounds and names of from Aa to Dd pa lang, kulang kasi ang oras.
 - si ate radz with the help of ate kakai muna dun sa remaining EE kids para ipatuloy ang spelling and adding numbers
 - tumulong din si ate bem2 nung dumating siya (may food na ang mga kids! yummy pa jud, as in sandwiches siya na yummy! courtesy of ate bem2)

kakonti ng kids sa LE kasi may di pumunta pati sa preschool din…

they’ve met ate sugar, buti na lang maaga nadismiss ang NSTP class niya…

may dalang atip2 si kuya edward pagdating niya pero it was not successfully put in place kasi ang taas and mahangin, alang pangsupport..nice try kuya…

so, yun…

patience is a virtue talaga para sa mga new learners ng alphabet..

and patience din para sa sabay na pag-iingay ng mga kids habang pinapacheck nila ang mga tama and for some ang mga kinopya nilang mga sagot..:-)

so, yun, basically…

idadagdag ko na lang sometime kung may nakalimutan akong sabihin..

senxa na medyo natagalan before ko napost…tama ba ginawa ko?

sana meh t-shirt tayo, para marecognize kung ano ginagawa natin and to attract sponsors hindi kase tayo nag-uuniform on saturdays….

 

why ganyan ang design? para simple lang.. gray ang color kase pag white madumihan, kung black naman. sobrang mainit.. so gray para nasa gitna.. den meh name sa front para makilala tayo ng mga kids.. diba?

mmm.. this is my first ever kalsada… enjoy maxado and i really really luv it.. teaching kids is one of my greatest passion. we taught them and pina-familiarize namin sila ng multiplication table.. jat-jat is really a smart girl.. pero si joyjoy mejo mahina.. but its ok..

the thing is wala si kuya edward!!! wala tuloy snacks. hmf.. anyway, siguro next tym i-improve pa namin kase mejo hindi organized.. heheheheh…..
