    Bruce Springsteen

Filed under: Journal by kalsada @ 12:25 pm

When Bruce Springsteen first heard Elvis Presley on the Ed Sullivan Show, he knew that he would become a musician someday and probably a famous one. At 13 years old, he got his very first guitar for $80, and at 16 his mother gave him a $60 guitar which he loaned just for the advancement of Bruce’s career. Affectionately called “the boss” was born in a modest town of New Jersey. Now, this young man who won multiple awards at the Grammy Awards and Academy awards is now going to be in the United Kingdome doing concert shows this summer.

He had made 15 albums all in all. Some of them even topped the Billboard charts. And many of his music have been intertwined to the film industry such as the song “Streets of Philadelphia” which won him multiple Grammy Awards and Academy Awards for Best Song in 1993. With all the awards and the attention, it never gets into his head. He even helped on the rebuilding efforts due to the September 11 attacks.

So what do Bruce Springsteen has that makes him different from the rest of the musician? Perhaps the lyrics or the in between ballad, acoustic, or rock-and-roll style that stuck on the minds of many Bruce Springsteen fans. Or perhaps the reason is his humble attitude or the down-to-earth charisma that had charmed and enchanted millions of fans around the world. Clearly this is a man of valor and dignity.

His lyrics are noted for its intense patriotic theme and ordinary scenario of an ordinary human being. His music reflects the struggles of ordinary people struggling to make ends meet. He talks about love found and love lost. Listening to his record for hours wouldn’t make anyone bored with his music even if you’re an 80’s kid, 90’s, or today’s kid.
